John Herrington-The First Native American Astronaut

I have met a lot of celebrities and have never been starstruck until I met John Herrington. He is the first Native American Astronaut to go out into outer space. Shauna and I had the pleasure of hanging out with him and his wife later on in the evening at the Dreamcatcher Gala 2012. They were watching the Artifaax fashion show by Designer ‘Denise Brillon’ where Shauna and I were the lead models in. I was super excited when someone text messaged me a photo of ’The Hamilton Newspaper’ where they are watching the show. (Those are my legs in the photo).

If I didn’t become an actress or a model I think I would have loved to be an astronaut. It would have been a dream to be the first First Nations woman out in space. Perhaps when I am an old lady it will be normal to take a vacation to Mars.

Dreamcatcher Foundation Gala Charity 2012

Shauna and I were honoured to attend the Dreamcatcher Foundation Gala this year for the third time in the past two years. This charity truly is a wonderful charity that makes the dreams of First Nations peoples come true.

This year we modeled for Denise Brillon’s runway show ‘Artifaax’. Shauna and I were the lead models tonight and it truly was an honour. We have been grateful to be in the Artifaax runway shows which has been taken all across North America. Shauna Baker and I along with Artifaax support the Dreamcatcher Foundation Charity wholeheartedly.
